JobLense Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 13, 2026

JobLense is a free Chrome extension and website that helps job seekers evaluate job listings. This policy explains what data JobLense handles.

On your device

JobLense reads the job listing and application page you open so it can summarize requirements and preview the application. This analysis runs in your browser. Listing text is not sent to JobLense. JobLense never enters information into applications or submits them.

Employer checks

To check whether an employer is genuine, JobLense sends the employer’s name, its website, and the job title to public services: the employer’s own job board, its website, domain registration records (rdap.org), and Wikidata. These services receive only what is needed for the lookup.

Optional AI research

If you add your own Claude API key, JobLense sends the employer name, website, job title, and page links to Anthropic to search the web. Your key is stored only in your browser, and Anthropic’s privacy policy applies to that request.

Your account and Notebook

If you create a JobLense account, we store your email address and name. When you sign in, the website sends a temporary sign-in token to the extension. Notebook items (PDFs and saved text) are stored in your browser, and if you are signed in, they sync to your private account so you can use them on other computers. Only you can access your Notebook items. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except our hosting provider (Lovable Cloud / Supabase), which stores it on our behalf.

Deleting your data

Delete Notebook items at any time in the extension. They are removed from your account as well. To delete your account or ask a question about your data, send a request through the contact form at joblense.lovable.app.
